• Friends That Carry On

carrying on together

Dear Friends,

We've built our lives and our livelihoods around travel. Going to new countries and cities, experiencing the cultures, foods, and finds in faraway lands, and coming back to tell you, our listeners and followers all about it, in the hopes it will inspire you to do the same, and that your experience will lead you to the same conclusion we've arrived at - life don't suck. It may feel like we're never going to get back there. Even though it was just a few weeks ago - the world was at our beck and call, and it was all about just choosing to go. Our mission now is to keep the travel spark alive. To keep revisiting these places, even if it's only by podcast at the moment - so we don't become too isolated in our bubbles and resign ourselves to the idea that international travel is now somehow out of reach.

We invite you to join us in revisiting the destinations and cultures that built Friends That Carry On and share these experiences with your friends and family. We want everyone to feel inspired, empowered, and most of all informed as the world waits to see what comes next.

We wanted to share a quote from someone far more eloquent than we are: Paul Harvey.

IN TIMES LIKE THESE IT’S HELPFUL TO REMEMBER THAT THERE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN TIMES LIKE THESE.”

Samuel Rodenhizer wrote a fantastic piece back in 2016 about fear. And struggle. And hope. You can read it below, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we have.
