Tips & Questions About Travel (1)

Welcome back to the Friends That Carry On Podcast! We're a group of friends that like to travel the world together. We want to share our passion for travel through travel tips and tricks we've picked up along away and stories of our adventures!

For Episode 9, Tony Price is our host and tchotchke holder, and he’s joined this week alongside Jim Scott, Brian Romine, Eric Fargo, and Shelly Price. In this episode, we cover questions from a previous episode, Episode 1, and discuss other unpacked tips for planning trips for events similar to the Running Of The Bulls or Oktoberfest.

You can listen along here:

We started off the episode answering questions from a previous episode (Episode 1, actually). One of the first questions was about the safety of the event and the possibility of bringing a family there. We also discussed other safety-like concerns, including avoiding pickpockets. The other questions were about where you would stay during the Running of the Bulls, and we give our tips and best advice to help with that.

Another question was asked and discussed about different tips and strategies for how to book these trips and events, like Running of the Bulls. We also discussed what to do and think of when you’re planning on accommodations for an event, like location, noise-level, availability, and more. We also discussed different resources we use when planning or strategizing for these trips, to help make planning easier. One resources we’ve been using for years is SkyScanner, which is also an affiliate of ours. Definitely check them out to help your next trip.

Our overall goal is to talk about our experiences in hopes that you, our listener, reader, & friend, can learn something that will help make your next trip easier and more worthwhile for you. We continued on about some of the different deals you can see, what they really mean, and why sometimes seemingly cheaper deals are more of a gamble then you realize.

We continue discussing our different strategies for buying flights and booking hotels. A lot of times you don’t realize the potential to visit other neighboring countries unless you know how to look. A big thing we believe is important when traveling is to be flexible! Be flexible where you fly into, connect, fly out, sleeping arrangements, the times of year you travel- a lot of traveling opportunities open-up once you learn to become more flexible when booking your trips. We wrap up the podcast discussing the value of learning from others past travel experiences and how it’s beneficial when you apply it to your own life.

So much information and helpful tips to unpack, you’re definitely going to want to check out this episode!
