Welcome back to the Friends That Carry On Podcast! We’re a group of friends that like to travel the world together. We want to share our passion for travel through travel tips and tricks we’ve picked up along the way and stories of our adventures!
Last week, in Part 1 of our first two-part episode, we discussed planning our most recent trip to Greece and visiting Athens. This week, in Part 2, Eric Fargo is the tchotchke holder and host once again, and is joined by Brian Romine, Jim Scott, and Tony Price, and they’ll be discussing the second half of their trip, where they visited the different islands of Greece. The tchotchke this week is one of these bottles we purchased from Santorini!

The first island we visited in Greece was Mykonos, and we discussed how we got there, what we did there, and the different things we did when there. We also met some interesting “friends” almost as soon as we got to Mykonos, which definitely was an interesting start to what ended up being a great stay. We also had some delicious food that night we spent there. The hotels we stayed at were the Rocabella Hotel and the Mykonian Mare Boutique Hotel.
We continued on in our adventure to the island of Santorini and the interesting ferry ride we had on the way, but the ferries were great and we recommend them. We used both Blue Star and Gold Star Ferries, both owned by Let’s Ferry. We ended up staying at a place called Astro Palace, which we definitely enjoyed. We talk about more of the delicious food, and the different things we did while on Santorini, including the beautiful sunset cruise and other tours we took while there, all of which we found and booked on Viator.
At the end of our trip, we all fly out different times, so by this time in our trip we were splitting up to go back home. Tony and Eric ended up going to Rafina Port, a port in Athens not far from the airport, and ended up posting up in a little bar and made some new friends! We wrap up the podcast with a neat fact about Santorini to wrap up a great Greece trip & Podcast two-parter!
