TBEX stands for Travel Blog Exchange and the 2019 conference happened to be its 10-year anniversary. Since the Friends are new to the travel bloggers world, this was their first TBEX conference and only Friends Jim Scott and Tony Price were able to attend. But overall, they had a great time and made some great friends with other Travel bloggers from around the world. Jim Scott and Tony Price were even invited to be guests on a Podcast called “This Week In Travel” where they recorded live at TBEX during one of the events. You can listen to that Podcast episode here.
Experiencing The Travel Blog Exchange
Tony and Jim went into describing different travel bloggers they met and became friends with, including the bloggers who hosted the This Week In Travel Podcast: Gary Arndt, Jen Leo, Spud Hilton, and Chris Christensen. Each one of these bloggers stuck out to us in different ways and some we happened to meet before we even knew who they were!
We then discussed how impactful the TBEX Conference was on us and how much we learned when attending there. We would sit in different sessions and then were able to meet and talk more with the blogger that gave the session afterwards. For example, we sat through a session given by Retire Early And Travel blog, and then were able to talk with them after. We also found out that they were on an episode of “House Hunters” and they had a funny story about their experience on there.
We also talked about some the speakers that stood out, including the keynote speaker Caz from YTravel who has an incredible story that she shared at the conference. We also met Bryanna of Crazy Family Adventure, and she travels the country in an RV. Lastly, we really connected with Michael Collins of travelmedia.ie who become a fast friend. All of these bloggers we’ve mentioned we hope to have on our
Getting To Know Buffalo, Montana
Lastly, we wrapped up the Podcast talking about the area of Buffalo, Montana and some of the great food we experienced while visiting. Unfortunately, it was a shorter trip, so we weren’t able to explore as much of Montana as we had hoped, but now that we’ve seen just a glimpse, we know we definitely want to go back and really see Montana.
