Welcome back to the Friends That Carry On Podcast!
The Friends were happy to welcome world renown corporate trainer and expert in transformational leadership and mindfulness, Jeff Patnaude. I (Jim Scott) have had the pleasure of working with Jeff over the last few years with a non-profit that I run, and Jeff has become a mentor of sorts and has helped me transform myself with the use of his “Habits of Hero’s” lessons that delve into mindfulness and how practicing these lessons not only help you as an individual deal with stress (Sitting Quietly) and teach or remind us the importance of (Being Present) in all we do, whether it is with work or family it helps us as individuals, but keeps us focused on (“Showing Up”) which when we as individuals practice these things we are not only better within our circle of influence, but it spreads to others for the greater good.
Learn a little bit of Jeff’s history as he moved to California and begin as an Episcopalian Minister and as his ministry grew his teachings led to other opportunities outside of the ministry. He began sharing his teachings with a small Silicon Valley company in the late 80’s. Cisco has since been using Jeff for the better part of the last three decades in teaching their leaders his programs. Jeff has worked with many other top companies throughout the country and world. Jeff shares some of his interesting stories and the wisdom that came from those meetings and very interesting people. Learn how Jeff helped “Fix” one the worst CEO’s in Silicon Valley and shares that person’s story and well as other inspirational people like “Mama G” in Detroit and how this little old lady turned around a very depressed, drug infested neighborhood.
This is a powerful podcast with some great information that can be used by anyone. FTCO has a sister company called Octave Advisors, that works with companies providing consulting, and part of what we share and teach to our client’s is “Transformational Leadership” that comes from Jeff’s teachings.
