Welcome back to the Friends That Carry On Podcast! We’re a group of friends that like to travel the world together. We want to share our passion for travel through travel tips and tricks we’ve picked up along away and stories of our adventures!
For Episode 4, Eric Fargo is our tchotchke holder and host, and he’s joined alongside Jim Scott, Tony Price, and Brian Romine, and they’ll be discussing multiple St. Patrick’s Days that the Friends have spent in Dublin, Ireland and some of the best tours you can take in Dublin.
You can listen along here:
First, we discussed the Temple Bar and what it was like staying and being there over St. Paddy’s Day. We naturally talked about Guinness and the Guinness Tour and the difference between American Guinness and fresh Irish Guinness that most people don’t know about.
For most of the Podcast we talk about more details about waking up in the Temple Bar area and the festivities that went down throughout St. Patrick’s Day. We discuss what our schedule looked like, peek times of business in bars and restaurants, and the very popular parade. We brought up a lot of the memorable faces and friends that we made in Dublin throughout our years of travels. We found that an easy way to make friends in Dublin is to show up for St. Paddy’s Day! We also talked about our experiences of being crammed in bars and how a simply flag carried home more then just a memory for one of us…
For the last part of the episode, we roll into our travel tip discussing the different tours we’ve taken in Dublin, including the Sandman Tours, and things to do in Dublin, including some of the food you can expect while visiting. Jim brings up an experience he had on one of the tours that really stuck out to him which we have a photo of shown below.
